Keynote

João Graça Former Founding CTO of Unbabel, Investor

João Graça is one of the localization industry’s most respected visionaries, having recently stepped down from his role as Founding CTO at Unbabel.

What began as “a surf trip and a wild idea” (in João’s own words) transformed into an adventure that changed his life and the industry. During 11 years at Unbabel, João led teams that published cutting-edge research, advanced the field, and created open-source tools such as COMET that benefited the entire AI ecosystem.

He rarely speaks at events, which as he embarks on his next chapter that makes the appearance at GenAI in Localization 2025 particularly special.

Keynote

Andriy Burkov PhD in AI, Author

Andriy Burkov is the author of the wildly popular The Hundred-Page Machine Learning Book, praised by experts at LinkedIn, Amazon, Google, and eBay for making complex AI concepts easy to understand. More recently, he released The Hundred-Page Language Models Book, which is already earning high praise from the AI community.

If you’ve explored AI or machine learning in recent years, chances are you’ve come across his work. With over 870,000 readers of his Artificial Intelligence Newsletter, Andriy has become a trusted voice guiding professionals through the fast-changing world of AI.

He’s joining us to share insights on which AI skills and roles will be in high demand over the next five years.
