João Graça Former Founding CTO of Unbabel, Investor
João Graça is one of the localization industry’s most respected visionaries, having recently stepped down from his role as Founding CTO at Unbabel.
What began as “a surf trip and a wild idea” (in João’s own words) transformed into an adventure that changed his life and the industry. During 11 years at Unbabel, João led teams that published cutting-edge research, advanced the field, and created open-source tools such as COMET that benefited the entire AI ecosystem.
He rarely speaks at events, which as he embarks on his next chapter that makes the appearance at GenAI in Localization 2025 particularly special.
