Over the past year, Custom.MT focused on implementing AI with localization teams. Custom.MT Console’s key features are most effective when used by groups and teams: building increasingly more reliable localization workflows with large language models for translation, editing and terminology.
At the same time, despite 200+ individual translators becoming users, the Translator Edition didn’t reach sufficient scale to make it a viable long-term direction. That’s why we’re updating the pricing and product structure to put collaboration business functionality front.
Translator Edition Discontinued
Custom.MT has discontinued the Translator Edition of the flagship product Console, effective from September 3, 2025.
- Freelance translators currently using the Translator edition will be able to maintain the subscription. Once the subscription is cancelled or expires, it will not be able to activate it anymore
- If you’re a part of a team, we’ll support you in moving to the Language Team Edition.
This change allows us to focus on developing features that matter most for teams: collaboration, information security and analytics. By concentrating on teams, we can deliver faster improvements, reduce complexity, and ensure that all our customers benefit from enterprise-ready features.
New Enterprize Edition
The new edition is designed for larger organizations that have compliance requirements. Unlike other editions that may be purchased self-service by adding a bank card in the Billing page of the Console, the Enterprize edition is based around the traditional procurement workflows, including:
- information security assessments and audits
- Master Services Agreement approvals by legal teams
- advance budgeting model API spend
- and central SSO authentication systems linked to Microsoft Active Directory.
This update is part of a bigger shift in how we’re shaping the Custom.MT Console: more collaboration, more control, and more value for teams.
